After 3 months ++

I swear to the Lord that I didn't even noticed that it's been 3 months since my last post. Goodness me, time flies like a jet plane!! Pheww..life has been quite hectic for me since the beginning of this semester. And I still can't believe that I'm in my 3rd year now. I'm about to do my teaching practical in 2 semesters time. Wahahah..I can't imagine how I'm gonna be like during my TP. Will I make a good trainee? Okay, now I'll do some review of what I've been through for the last few months of life...

June : Well, needless to say, is the month of happiness and sadness for me. Why? Cause there was Gawai Day that me and my family celebrated like hell..Yet, on the 19th and the 20th, we became silent as to honour the 1st anniversary of my late Grandpa and cousin. I really miss them to the point of crying each time I remembered them. God, please put them by your side in your high kingdom. Miss you Grandpa and Ivong...

July : On the 5th of July, I flew back to University of Malaya. Then, on the 9th of July, my course-mates sang me the Happy Birthday song on my 22nd birthday. Hmm..I'm 22 year old, already? Doesn't feel like it. I still feel like a kid trapped in a much older person. Wahahah...Frankly, age doesn't matter for me. What's important is wisdom. As long as you have the wisdom, regardless your age, people will respect you no matter what. Then, somewhere down the line in July, I got a call from Dr Sabri saying that I'm elected as the chairman for the JKP of Welfare and Society of 9th Residential College. It hit me cause I never thought that people actually recognize me as a reliable person, especially for this post. Well, I said okay to Dr Sabri. The rest of the batch of 9th RC's JTK-JIK lineup was announced during the Minggu Mesra Pelajar. I got some good moral support from my dear friends and seniors whom I really aspired and motivated to be like someday...

August : My seniors' convocation day!! Sadly, I only managed to see Kenny's convo and snapped some pictures with him. I couldn't find Halimi and I didn't attend Becky and Maureen's convo since I was busy with something else that day. But, the view of my seniors in their convo robes and the mortar boards are inspiring and motivating enough for me to brace another day in this beloved university of mine. Nothing is impossible. Struggles are only some parts of a varsity life. There's more to it behind closed door. Being a varsity student gives me a lot of new perspective on my life and others, as well. I am now more open and I've changed a lot, I believe. My confidence leveled way up high and my soft-skills are also developing day by day.

Now, it's already the 21st of August. Just 10 more days to Malaysia's 52nd Independence Day. Hopefully, this will bring more revelations for Malaysians to be more proud and grateful for being Malaysians. I don't know why some people are very shameful to introduce themselves as Malaysians? What's wrong with that? Nothing, I believe.

Being a Sarawakian, on the other hand, is also the thing that I'm most proud of. We're known for our openness, and our warmth with people around us. It's not hard to be like us. Just put aside your prejudice for other people. I am friends with anybody regardless their skin colour, languages, backgrounds etc. I never judge people without knowing them and I hate people who made pre-assumptions about other people without actually talking and knowing that other people. That is just plain unfair. Everybody has his/her flaws. Nobody's perfect. Tell me who's perfect and I'll give you a big Salute!! Even the Pope has his flaws. So, please whoever it is that keeps judging people blindly, stop it. I don't think people like you anyway. That's why we mingle and socialise. It's to make us more aware of our surroundings and be more sensitive to others' feelings. We can't live alone in this big world. Some might say that the Earth is such a small place, but for me, it is big, big world. There is just too many beautiful sides of our life here to be violated. Rite peeps??!!

Huhh...I've been babbling way too long here. Thanks to Miss Li Chin for reminding me to update my blog. I'm very busy Li Chin Tan. Assignments here and there. Phew..just another beauty of being a student...Hahah..Anywho, I'm gonna sign off now. Beauty sleep is waiting for moi. Lydia, let's see who got the best panda eyes next week ya. Heheh. Chow cin chow!!

Love, Rheitta.
